Last year I did an end of year round-up in December, so I’m doing it again with an end of year review 2018 and some goals for the year to come. I mentioned in my last review post how quickly 2017 went by, but it seems 2018 is determined to beat it! I can’t believe it’s already Christmas time again.
What Happened In 2018
The biggest thing to happen on the blog this year was the re-branding, which was one of my goals from 2017. I was happy to cross this off my to-do list and also really pleased with how the new look turned out.
Caradise’s most popular post of the year was my DIY belly basket decorations. It was fun to pimp up these baskets and they’re all super stylish and useful for storage around the home. I hope to do more DIY posts to share with you in the future.
After concentrating on my Pinterest and Instagram accounts up to now, I’ve finally created a Facebook page for Caradise. I’d love for you to follow me.
If you already follow me on Instagram, you may have seen from my Instagram stories that I went to Las Vegas in September to celebrate my sister’s 50th birthday. It was my second time there and I have to say it was fabulous!! Amongst other things we made the long trek caught the shuttle to the Las Vegas sign,
I won over £1000 dollars on the slot machines (which I was told by a taxi driver was rare 😯 ), went shooting at Machine Guns Vegas, mingled with the celebs and tried out for some cheerleading at Madam Tussauds,
and soooo many other things. I could write a whole blog post on this (hmmm, why didn’t I? 🙄 ). The decor in the hotels was flamboyant and plush. I also discovered my new favourite cocktail, a Mojito Royale, which was worth every cent of the 18 dollars it cost at The Encore where we stayed. 😯
Here’s me (I’m the one on the right) with an impressive giant Popeye by Jeff Koons, which apparently Steve Wynn paid an eye watering 28 million dollars for!!
The sailor man is situated outside the Wynn Theatre where we also watched an absolutely breathtaking show Le Reve (The Dream).
Plans & Goals For 2019
My social media efforts will continue, in order to grow my Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook accounts. And I will also strive to grow my e-mail list and traffic to the website. As always, if you know any interior lovers, be sure to tell them about Caradise, and don’t forget to join my e-mail list if you haven’t already.
I plan to add a ‘Shop The Internet’ page to the blog next year which will feature some of my favourite home accessory finds from a variety of gorgeous online stores.
The teal and blush used in the new look Caradise made it there due to my love of these colours, and they’re going to be appearing in my home decor too. I’ve put together a colour palette (below) for the interior design of my house and I’ve already painted my bathroom teal. I’ll be revealing this in a brand new post in 2019.
You may recognise the first colour ‘Living Coral’ as Pantone’s colour of the year for 2019. I’m excited to add a splash of this to my house. I’ll be redecorating the porch next so I may use it there! I also have other rooms in the running for overhauls in 2019. My living room is in desperate need of an entire face-lift. I hope to get to at least the planning stage for this next year.
